December
- County Lines Literary Journal of the Franklin County Arts Council Writers Guild
features three of my monochrome photographs: "Grace," "Pear Trees in March," and "My Way, Not the Highway."

- The poem "Notes Toward the Stray Note" appears in Snapdragon.

November
- For the November Art Walk in New Bern, I'm among the dozens of poets reading their ekphrastic works based on the current juried exhibit at the Bank of the Arts Gallery. My poem "Light Source" is based on an enchanting painting by Susan Baus.

- "O, Awaken" is posted on Spank the Carp along with the collage by Elizabeth Darrow from which it evolved.

October
- A wonderful group of women writers invited me to join them for weekly meetings, critiquing each others' work and encouraging each others' productivity. The Neuse River Writers are dedicated to the craft in poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction. I'll appreciate their feedback.

September
- Polly Frank, who often participates in New Bern's "First Tuesday" open mic for poets, recently interviewed me. It was fun, and good practice for both of us, leading us to think about what it means to identify yourself as a writer. She posted the resulting essay, "Portrait of a Poet," on her blog, Polly's Tea Kettle.  Thanks, Polly!  Good work.

- A new poem of mine, "Market," along with one of my photographs, is posted in the Minerva Rising "Keeping Room."

- Announcing the upcoming publication of my first chapbook. Fortunate to be working with Robin Greene and Michael Colonnese of Longleaf Press. The book is slated to be released this fall. Thanks to the Pamlico Writers Group for the opportunity to meet these fine editors at the PWG conference last spring.

August
- I attended the 2015 North Carolina Writers Network Squire Summer Writing Residency at East Carolina University in Greenville. Our workshop was led by the wonderful poet and teacher Amber Flora Thomas. All of the participants invested so much effort, empathy, and wisdom into their reading, critiques, and writing. A gracious, talented, and committed group of poets. Energizing!
